Assembling the brake

Required tools

Allen keys or bits 4-10 mm
Screw bits and sockets
Torx® keys or bits T6-T25
Torque wrench
Lifting device
Screwdrivers
Pliers
Bearing puller (optional)
Feeler gauge

NOTICE

Only use Klüberlub® BE 71-501

Use of other lubricants will permanently damage the press.

Required spare parts

Shim rings
Brake disc (if needed)

Assemble the bearing by using a press.
Assemble the brake disc onto the spline axle.
Assemble the wave washer and the bearing from the spline axle.
Assemble the stop screws.
Assemble the stator on to the brake disc (24 V power is needed).
Assemble the brake onto the outer housing.
Assemble the brake cover screws fixing the brake stator.
Flip the brake assembly.
Assemble the base plate.
Assemble the base plate screws.
Flip the brake assembly.
Assemble the shim plates.
Assemble the top cover.
Assemble the screws holding the top cover.
Assemble the screws (4x) holding the connector base.
Assemble brake assembly.
Assemble the screws holding the brake to the gearbox.
Assemble the brake connector.
Unscrew the screw holding the brake connector.
Connect the 24V power supply from the brake.
