Parameters

  • Control system (*): control system of the tool model. The default value is the control system defined in the tool model configuration. To change the default value, select an option in the Control system drop down list.

  • Control variable (*): variable to control during test. The default value is torque.

The torque & angle option is available only for tool models that measure both torque and angle.

  • Torque stages (*): number of steps to do during the test.

  • Target source (*): select one of the following options: Position based or Tool based.

For each method, the standard VDI/VDE 2645-2 defines different test points.

  • Condition and method: the final combination of General Condition and Method chosen for the inspection according the VDI/VDE 2645-2 naming convention. This is a read-only value.

  • Number of samples: type the number of tightenings to do.

  • Tightening direction (*): select one of the following options: CW (clockwise direction) or CCW (counterclockwise direction).

If the target source is Position based, this field is shown in the test point configuration.

  • Measurement unit (*): select the measuring unit for the inspection. The default measurement unit is defined both in the Application settings and in the Personal settings.

  • Cm: minimum value of Cm for the torque. This is a read-only value.

  • Cmk: minimum value of Cmk for the torque. This is a read-only value.

  • Change recommended tolerance: click the switch to change the tolerance value of the test points of the selected method.

If the Target source is set to Tool based:

  • Test point – torque:

    • % of operating range: target torque, expressed as percentage of the tool operating range.

The value is set by the VDI/VDE 2645-2 standard. This is a read-only value.

    • Torque tolerance: tolerance of the torque, express in percentage. The default value is set by the standard, but enabling the "Change recommended tolerance" switch, this value is editable.

    • Final angle monitoring torque: the final angle monitoring torque specifies the torque value from which the angle measurement starts. This value is express as percentage of the tool operating range.

For the older products, this item is indicated as Start final angle.

    • Angle: value of the target angle. The value is set by the VDI/VDE 2645-2 standard. This is a read-only value.

  • Test point – angle

    • Angle target: value of the target angle, expressed in degree.

    • Angle tolerance: tolerance of the angle, expressed in degrees.

    • Final angle monitoring torque: the final angle monitoring torque specifies the torque value from which the angle measurement starts. This value is expressed as percentage of the tool operating range.

For the older products, this item is indicated as Start final angle.

    • % maximum torque: torque value expressed as percentage of the maximum torque of the tool model.

If the Target source is set to Position based:

  • Test point – torque:

    • Joint (*): in the Joints box, select the necessary joint.

      • To add a new joint, click Add icon ().

In the Add joint dialog box, enter the details related to new joint.

        Then, click Save.

        Then, click Save.

  • Angle target: value of the target angle.

  • Angle tolerance: value of the angle tolerance.

  • Tightening direction: tightening direction defined in the joint configuration.

  • Measure angle from: from the drop-down list, select between:

    • One step: the measurement of the angle starts as soon as the Final monitoring torque value is reached.

    • Second step: the measurement of the angle starts in the second step, when the Final angle monitoring torque value is reached.

    • Starting second step: the measurement of the angle starts at the starting of the second step.
