Tool calibration

Below are the items of the Tool calibration inspection result details card:

  • Inspection: name of the inspection.

  • Route: name of the route linked to the inspection.

  • Result date: date of the inspection.

  • Measuring device: measuring device used to do the inspection.

  • Target object: name of the tool under control.

  • Operator: name of the operator that did the inspection.

It is shown if the measuring device manages the users.

  • Status: below are the available options, depending on the status of the inspection:

    • Partial: the inspection is closed before the batch is completed. The test can be completed later on.

    • Completed: the inspection execution is closed after the batch is completed.

    • Abandoned: the inspection execution is not completed but it is manually closed. The test cannot be completed later on.

  • Input type: below are the available options, depending on the input method used during the test:

    • Manual: the operator type the value measured by the controller.

    • Automatic: measuring device receives the value measured by the controller.

Control chart

  • Torque deviation [%] / tightening number: the graph shows two series of values related to the torque measured by the tool under calibration and the torque measured by the reference.

In the graphs, the lines indicate:

    • the upper and lower limits (red lines)

    • the target values (green line)

Click the chart to open a full screen graph.

  • Toque [Nm]/ tightening number: the graph shows the deviation in percentage between the torque measured by the tool under calibration and the torque measured by the reference.

Scale factor

  • Old: calibration value on the controller before the calibration.

  • New: calibration value calculated after the calibration.

  • Apply status: below are the available options, depending on the change of the calibration value of the controller:

    • None: the controller calibration value is not changed.

    • Manual: the operator changes the calibration value on the controller.

    • Automatic: measuring device sends the new calibration value to the controller.

  • Joint: name of the joint linked to the inspection.

Tolerance deviation

  • Tolerance: reference deviation value in percentage of the new calibration value from the old validation value.

  • Actual: deviation value in percentage of the new calibration value from the old validation value.

  • Traceability: in this table the traceability tags configured in the route linked to the inspection are shown. In particular, the name, the level and the values of each configured traceability tag are displayed.
