    • Only angle: only the angle is controlled.

    • Angle and torque: the angle is controlled and the torque is monitored.

If the Target source is set to Multistep, the Check type is not displayed.

  • Measurement unit (*): select the measuring unit for the inspection.

The default measurement unit is defined both in the Application settings and in the Personal settings.

  • Required transducer: add/select/delete the transducer.

    Do one of the following:

    • Click Add icon () to add a new transducer.

In the Add Transducer dialog box, enter the details related to the new transducer.

    • Click Search icon () to select a transducer already configured.

In the Transducers workspace, select the necessary transducer.

      Then, click Apply.

    • Click Delete icon () to delete the selected transducer.

Simulated trace

Simulated trace is displayed only if a joint linked to a simulated trace has been selected during the inspection definition.

  • Trace (*): name of trace linked to the selected joint.

  • Chart of the simulated trace.

Torque

Torque is displayed if the Check type is set to Only torque, Torque and angle, and Angle and torque.

  • Torque values (*): type the torque target and the torque limits.

The torque values can be given as follows:

    • Torque target and torque tolerance

    • Lower limit (LSL) and upper limit (USL)

    • Percentage of operating range and torque tolerance

Click either the right or the left arrow to change the view of the torque values.

If the Target source is set to Position based, the Torque target is set to the Tightening torque of the joint. This is a read-only value.

If the Target source is Production based, the Torque target is the Tightening torque of the joint. This is a read-only value.

If the Target source is set to Tool based / Multistep, the default Torque target is set to the Maximum torque configured in the tool model.

  • Angle for simulation (*): type the angle value to simulate the joint. The default value is 270°.

Angle for simulation is displayed only if the Check type is set to Only torque.

Torsion Angle

Torsion Angle is displayed if the Check type is set to Only angle, Torque and angle, and Angle and torque.

  • Torsion angle (*): type the angle target and the torque limits.

    • Angle target and angle tolerance

    • Lower limit (LSL) and upper limit (USL)

Click either the right or the left arrow to change the view of the angle values.

If the Target source is set to Position based, the Angle target is the Torsion angle of the joint. This is a read-only value.

If the target source is Production based, the Angle target is the Target angle of the program. This is a read-only value.

  • Measure angle from: from the drop-down list, select between:

    • One step: the measurement of the angle starts as soon as the Final monitoring torque value is reached.

    • Second step: the measurement of the angle starts in the second step, when the Final angle monitoring torque value is reached.

    • Starting second step: the measurement of the angle starts at the starting of the second step.

This parameter is available only for power tools.

  • Final angle monitoring torque (*): it specifies the torque value from which the angle measurement starts.

For the older products, this item is indicated as Start final angle.

Two different definition types are available:

    • Value in N·m

    • Percentage value of target torque

Click either the right or the left arrow to change the view of the final angle monitoring torque.
