Tool model parameters
Tool image: upload the image of the tool model.
Name (*): type the name of the tool model.
Manufacturer (*): add/select the manufacturer of the tool model.
Do one of the following:
Click Add icon (
) to add a new manufacturer. In the Add Manufacturer dialog box, enter the details related to new manufacturer.
Then, click Save.
In the Manufacturer drop-down list, select the manufacturer of the tool model.
Part code: type the part code of the tool model.
Catalogue Url: type the link to the online catalogue.
Type (*): in the Type drop-down list, select the type of the tool.
If Type is set to Generic, all the other items listed below are not available. It is possible only to add Notes.
Category (*): in the Category drop-down list, select the category of the tool model.
Category drop-down list is available only after selecting the type of the tool.
Operating principle (*): in the Operating principle drop-down list, select the operating principle of the tool model (Continuous, Pulse, and Stroke).
Operating principle drop-down list is available only after selecting either Screwdriver or Nutrunner as Type.
Control system: in the Control system drop-down list, select the control system of the tool model.
Control system drop-down list is available only after selecting either Screwdriver or Nutrunner as Type.
Max speed: type the max speed of the tool model (in rpm).
Max Speed is available only after selecting Screwdriver or Nutrunner as Type.
Max working pressure: type the max working pressure of the tool model (in bar or psi).
Max working pressure is available only after selecting Pneumatic Assembly Tools as Category.
Torque correction coefficient: type the torque correction coefficient of the tool model.
Torque correction coefficient is available only after selecting Pulse or Stroke as operating principle.
Measurement unit: select the measurement unit to define the torque parameters of the tool model. The default measurement unit is defined both in the Application settings and in the Personal settings.
Torque range
Min (*): type the minimum torque value of the tool model.
Max (*): type the maximum torque value of the tool model.
Square drive size: in the Square drive size drop-down list, select the square drive size of the tool model. This parameters is not displayed if Type is set to Wrench.
ISO 6789
This section is displayed if the Type is set to Wrench.
ISO 6789 type (*): in the ISO 6789 type drop-down list, select the type of wrench defined in the ISO 6789.
ISO 6789 type drop-down list is available only after selecting Wrench as Type and Hand-operated tools as Category.
ISO 6789 class (*): in the ISO 6789 class drop-down list, select the class of wrench defined in the ISO 6789. The items depend on the ISO 6789 type selected.
ISO 6789:2017
Click type (*): select the click type. The options are: Click and Cam-over.
Click type drop-down list is available only after selecting Setting torque tools as ISO 6789 type.
Resolution (r): type the resolution value.
The resolution field is available for all classes of ISO 6789 type I, and for class A, D and G of ISO 6789 type II.
Tightening Direction: enter the following values for tool models operating in Clockwise, Counterclockwise, or in both directions:
brep: type the value of the variation due to the reproducibility.
bod: type the variation due to the geometric effect of the output drive of the torque tool.
bint: type the value of the variation due to the interface between the output drive and the calibration system.
bl: type the value of the variation of the force loading point.
ToolsNet open protocol: enable this option if the tools defined with this model are connected directly to the ToolsNet 8 through the Data Communication Service module using the TNOP port 9014.

Items marked with an asterisk (*) are required.
If the Tool model is linked to an inspection, the following parameters cannot be modified: Type, Category, Operating principle, Control system, ISO 6789 type, ISO 6789 class.
