System Overview
The ILM Anchor serves as a reference point for the ILM Tool Tag. Each ILM Tool Tag searches and communicates independently with surrounding UWB hardware. The ILM Anchor requires a power supply according to the data sheet.

Gateway
ILM Anchor contains an Ethernet port that can be connected to a network. This is for transferring data or connecting to an Atlas Copco controller of the Power Focus family. An ILM Anchor that is connected to a local network is called a gateway.

To work as a gateway, an ILM Anchor must be configured in ILM Manager. For more information on ILM Manager, see ILM Manager.
A gateway can receive status and localization data from an ILM Tool Tag. A gateway can send data to different types of software, for example, ILM Hub and a manufacturing execution system. Gateways should not be used in public networks or outside of industrial locations. Gateways are intended for use in private networks or inside of industrial locations.
