Software Installation and Upgrade

The tool software can be updated via the tool’s web user interface.

To prevent damage to the tool:

  • Make sure the battery is fully charged when performing a software update.

  • Do not remove the battery from the tool while the software update is in progress.

  • Do not remove the USB-cable from the tool while the software update is in progress.

Upgrading the tool software

  1. Connect the tool to the XB web user interface.

  2. Navigate to Tool management and Software.

  3. Load the software package in the web user interface.

  4. Wait for the software update to finish. The tightening direction indicators will blink during the update.

  5. The tool will start up.
