Devices
The Devices view displays the devices connect to ToolsControl. A device refers to an external equipment including either hardware or software or both, which connects to ToolsControl to extend its functions. The device information for each connected device including IP address, device hostname, type of the device, software versions, number of connections, and uplink information.
Bluetooth Gateway, I/O hub, and CAN Converter are the typical types of devices that are supported. Some of the device types, such as Bluetooth Gateway or CAN converter provide uplink information, which indicates the IP address it connects. Typically, the uplink is the ToolsControl Single IP. A Bluetooth Gateway supports the tools with Bluetooth capability to get Wi-Fi connection. The tools that connect through Bluetooth Gateway are also list in the tools list together with other Wi-Fi tools.
A common configuration error is that the uplink IP address is set to a different address than the ToolsControl Single IP.
