Failover

Failover in ToolsControl means that if something unforeseen happens, such as loss of power or loss of network connectivity to a server, there is no significant downtime for the system. Any ToolsControl application running on other servers are not affected by the occurrence. If such an event happens, the affected applications on the failed server will migrate to an available server. The downtime for the application is limited to the time for failover detection (10–35 seconds) and the restart time of the application.

The failover functions are only supported in cluster installations of ToolsControl.
