Mapping Signal Configurations to Virtual Fieldbuses

Select a controller in the Plant structure workspace.

Select the Fieldbus and SoftPLC tab then select the Controller Fieldbus sub-tab.

Double-click the fieldbus configuration to which you want to map a signal configuration.

In the Controller Fieldbus view, do one of the following:

• In the data frame, right-click on a signal configuration and select Map to Virtual Fieldbus.

• In the signal configuration table, select a signal configuration and select Map to Virtual Fieldbus button.

The Map signal to Virtual Fieldbus window comes into view.

Select the Virtual Fieldbuses to which the signal configuration will be mapped.

Select Map.

The signal configuration is mapped to one or more Virtual Fieldbuses.

Select Close.

Select a controller in the Plant structure workspace.

Select the Fieldbus and SoftPLC tab then select the Controller Fieldbus sub-tab.

Double-click the fieldbus configuration that contains the Virtual Fieldbus to update.

Double-click the Virtual Fieldbus in the Virtual Fieldbus section.

The Edit Virtual Fieldbus window comes into view.

In the Mapping section, select the check boxes for the signal configurations to map to the Virtual Fieldbus.

Select Ok.

Select Close.
