Configuring the Factory Ethernet Port

  1. On the home view, go to the Settings tab and select Network on the left pane.

  2. On the Factory Ethernet Port window, select Edit to access and alter the Ethernet settings.

Only the Factory Ethernet port can be configured. The Service Ethernet port has a designated IP address, 169.254.1.1, that must not be connected to the local network.

PF8 has two Power over Ethernet (PoE) ports. Use these ports to connect peripheral devices to the PF8. Examples of peripheral devices are Stack Lights and Socket Selectors 6 series. These ports connect to the IT board through the driver card. The PF8 uses a DHCP server for these ports. This server gives an internal PF8 IP address to each connected device.

Do not connect these ports to the local network. A connection to the local network will cause conflicts between the PF8's internal DHCP server and the local network's DHCP server.
