Configuring a Wireless Client

  1. On the home view, go to the Settings tab and select Network on the left pane.

  2. On the Wireless Client window, select Edit.

  3. Set Enabled to On.

  4. Set DHCP to On or Off depending on the configuration. If set to Off, fill out the required information, provided by the local system administrator:

    • IP address

    • Subnet mask

    • Gateway

  5. Enter a Network name (SSID).

  6. On the Security window, select Mode and choose a security mode from the list. If WPA2 Personal is chosen, enter a Security key.

  7. Edit the Security settings.

    1. Select Mode and choose a security mode from the list.

    2. Edit the Security settings as applicable. The available settings depend on which mode is selected.

      Security key

      Set the alphanumeric password. The minimum length of the security key is 8 characters, and the maximum length is 63 characters.

      Identity

      Set the identity of the tool.

      User name

      Set the user name.

      Password

      Set the password.

      CA-cert

      Select the CA certificate with the Browse button. It can be either of PEM format or Binary (DER).

      Client-cert

      Select the client certificate with the Browse button. It can be either of PEM format or Binary (DER).

      Private key

      Select the private key with the Browse button. It can be either of PEM format or Binary (DER).

      Private key password

      Set the password used for the private key.

      Fast PAC

      Set the Protected Access Credentials (PAC).

      MSCHAPv2

      Set MSCHAPv2 On or Off.

  8. Edit the Optional Settings as applicable.

    Set a hostname for the tool.

    Connect to Hidden Wi-Fi Network

    If the network (SSID) is hidden, set this value to On.

  9. Select Apply.

    The controller will establish a wireless connection to the network.

  10. To access the user interface wirelessly, type the IP address into a web browser.
