Export/Import
On the Controller tab, the Export/Import pane allows to perform the following operations: Export, Import, and Automated backup.
Use the Export window to export controller configurations, settings, results, events and tool logs, which can be shared with Atlas Copco Service personnel to troubleshoot problems with the tools.
Use the Import window to import controller configurations and settings.
It is only possible to have one export or import process active at the same time. Any attempt to start a new export or import process while there is one ongoing is rejected.
Use the Automated backup window to generate a backup file.
It is possible to export or to import data through one of the following devices:
USB flash drive (formatted and with a partition to work for Linux: possible formats are, for example, FAT or NTFS)
Web GUI
ToolsTalk 2
During export or import processes, a progress bar informs of that an export or an import process is ongoing. The time to perform an export or an import depends on the number of results, events, and log files that are imported or exported.
Export/Import Between Controllers
The controller can export all its current configurations and import to another supported controller.
It is only possible to import a configuration if the software on the target controller is the same or newer as the one used when creating the export.
When importing between system types, the controller attempts to switch the fieldbus type to the one supported by the system. The controller will not change the frame size, and if an import with an unsupported frame size is performed i.e, from PF8 Synchronized Tightening to PF6 Flex—the fieldbus will not be started, and a warning event will be shown requesting the user to update the fieldbus frame size to a supported size.
For hardware layout, the system will not replace the current system layout with the imported one if the import is from a different system type.
Export from Power Focus 8 can be imported to:
Power Focus 8
Tools Control
Export from Power Focus 8 Step Sync can be imported to:
Power Focus 6 Flex
Power Focus 8, Power Focus S
Power Focus 8 StepSync
A controller cannot import a file exported from a different type of IAM module. This is applicable also when using ToolsTalk 2.
