IPG Page

The IPG page shows the IPG projectors.

This view is only used to connect an IPG projector to ILG. To create a projection for a workpiece, see Creating a Workpiece.

The buttons in the upper–left corner of the Projectors tab can be used to add, edit, delete and calibrate a projection, project a tool position, project a shape and stop a projection. These sections describe the contents of each section in the IPG page.

Add

Adds a projector. Enter values for these boxes:

  • Serial Number: the serial number of the projector.

  • IP: the IP address of the projector.

  • Projector type: the type of projector. The available types:

    • If you use IPG L, IPG L Plus, IPG L Vision, or IPG L Vision Plus as projector, enter tvam

    • If you use IPG precision or IPG mobile as a projector, enter rtc4

  • Calibration file: a calibration file is required to use a projector in ILG. Follow these steps to use a calibration file:

  1. Contact your Atlas Copco services representative and ask for a calibration file to use in ILG. Include the serial number of the projector.

  2. When the Atlas Copco services representative has delivered the calibration file, save the file on the server where ILG is installed. Remember the path where the file is saved and the name of the file.

  3. In the Calibration file box, enter the path and file name. For example, C:\Program Files\IndustrialLocationGuidance\CalibrationFile.config.

Edit

Edits the Projector ID, IP address and Projector type.

Delete

Deletes a projector.

Calibrate

Calibrates the tool according the projector. The tool tip of the tool should be placed on the crosses that are projected by the laser. When the tool tip is placed correctly, press the tool trigger.

Tool Position

Projects a cross on the tool tip. If the calibration is successful the cross turns up on the tool tip. This is a test to verify that the calibration is done correctly.

Project

Shows a sample projection. The user can set the coordinates, shapes, angle, offset, length, and width of the projection. For more information about projections, see Creating a Workpiece.

Stop

Stops all projections.
