Configuring SPC Parameters

  1. On the Home view, select the Reports Tab. Then, on the left, select Statistics.

  2. In the SPC Configuration window, enter the following parameters to collect results stored in the controller:

    • Number of Subgroups: enter the number of subgroups the statistics calculation is based upon.
      The number of results (Number of Subgroups × Frequency) can range from 2 through 500.

    • Subgroup Size: enter the number of tests (samples) necessary to define each point (the average value of the tests in the subgroup) on the SPC charts.
      The subgroup size can range from 2 through 25.

    • Frequency: enter how often to start collecting a new subgroup.
      Frequency must be equal or higher than Subgroup size.

      For instance, if Frequency is 8 and Subgroup Size is 5, the first 5 data (results) is used for the subgroup. Because of the Frequency =8, the next subgroup starts considering data (results) from the 8th one on, and so on in a loop.
