Setting Timeouts

The timeout is the delay time, from when a tool leaves, or enters, a defined area until the Enable/Disable Tool command is sent to the controller. A small timeout is recommended in order to avoid sending unnecessary Open Protocol commands when a tool is at the edge of an area.

  1. From the Home screen, select Configuration and then select Timeouts.

  2. Select Timeout disable tool.

  3. Enter the timeout, in milliseconds, and select OK to confirm.

  4. Select Timeout enable tool.

  5. Enter the timeout, in milliseconds, and select OK to confirm.

It is recommended to use timeout values between 100 and 1000 milliseconds.
