Never shift gear when the machine is running. If shifting gear while the machine is running, the gear could get damaged.
Grip the gear shift ring by hand, pull left and turn anti-clockwise until the arrow is visible and it clicks in position. The gear shift ring will stay in this position. The arrows indicate the direction of running.
To change to forward rotation turn the gear shift ring clockwise until the arrow is visible and it clicks in position. The gear shift ring will stay in this position. The arrows indicate the direction of running.
If the gear shift ring is turned to in between this two positions the gears are disengaged and the outgoing spindle can easily be turned in desired position.
