Tools

The Tools view lists all tools with brief information:

Field

Description

Controller

If a tool is mapped to a controller, the controller is listed here. If the tool is not mapped to a controller, select Map to controller to map the tool to a controller.

Model

The name of the tool model.

Serial number

The serial number of the tool.

Max torque

The maximum rotation torque, in newton meters

State

One of three states:

  • Connected: is connected to ToolsControl and is mapped to a controller

  • Online: is connected to ToolsControl and is not mapped to a controller

  • Offline: has previously been connected to ToolsControl and is now powered off

Labels

A label that is added for the tool. This can be any text value.

By default, the list of tools is organized by the name of the controller to which they are mapped. Unmapped tools are by default located at the top of the list. The list can be sorted and filtered.

Users can map or unmap one or more tools to or from controllers. To simultaneously map or unmap one or more tools, select the tools and, from the Bulk options box, select Map to controller or Unmap.

Use the Search box to filter and find tools.

Select Export to CSV to export a list of all tools to a comma-separated text file.

Tool Information

To see detailed information for a tool, select the tool. The Tool information view is seen to the right side of the page.

Field availability is dependent on the tool.

Description

Serial number

The serial number of the tool.

Address

The IP address and network port of the tool.

Model

The name of the tool model.

Mac address

The MAC address of the tool.

Application software

The software version.

Parameter Package Version

The parameter package version.

Boot software

The boot software version.

Radio module software version

The radio module software version.

Calibration date

The date when the tool was last calibrated.

Next calibration date

The date when the tool is next calculated to require calibration.

Calibration value

The calibration value, in newton meters

Gear ratio

The ratio of the angular velocity of the input gear to the angular velocity of the output gear.

Max speed

The maximum rotation speed, in revolutions per minute.

Max torque

The maximum rotation torque, in newton meters.

Service date

The suggested maximum number of tightenings between service events.

Remaining tightenings

The number of tightenings that is left until the service interval is reached.

Service interval

The number of tightenings that at a maximum should be performed between two service events. Can be entered in multiples of 10,000.
