Browser shows that your connection is not private

The error message displays when your browser is unable to confirm that the site has a valid SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate.

It is recommended that you use your own root certificate. Alternatively, you can use an SSL certificate generated by Smart AMS. It will require each machine on the network to have a copy of the SSL certificate installed in the Trusted Root Certificate Store.

The certificate generated by Smart AMS can be obtained from the About page of Smart AMS.

Solution

You did not install an appropriate certificate.

Go to the Smart AMS Manager address in your web browser by using the Open Smart AMS Manager shortcut on the Desktop or on the Windows Start menu.
Sample address: https://localhost:6394. Port number is selected when you install Smart AMS. The default is 6394. Make sure to replace localhost with the actual IP address of the computer Smart AMS Manager is running on.

To switch to the Certificate settings section, select in the Navigation Panel on the left of the page. On mobile devices with a smaller screen, select your username in the upper right corner of the page, and then select Certificate settings.
