Overheating

Operating at high torque on soft joints with short cycle time can cause overheating and shorten the life of the tool. Contact your local Atlas Copco sales representative if you need help with simulations or calculations before selecting model and size of the tool. Please provide the following information for a heat calculation:

Target torque (Nm) - Speed during the rundown and during the tightening (RPM).
Rundown angle in revolutions or degrees.
Tightening angle in degrees.
Cycle time - Seconds between the start of each tightening, or tightenings per hour.
