Side Force

Side force can occur if:

A multiple, with two or more fixtured tools, is not fixed relative to the assembly object.
A single tool is used with a reaction bar to handle the reaction torque.

If the tool(s) and the assembly object are locked in their respective fixtures, there will be no or low force.

If the socket holder of the tool is exposed to side force, make sure that all ingoing parts can handle the side force. Contact your local Atlas Copco customer center if you need help confirming that all components can handle the side force.
