5G Connect (3.13)
Software
Introduction
In this section, you can find the basic information about the product and also the formatting conventions used in the topics.
General Description
The 5G connect module allows you to connect the IxB tool to 5G private networks instead of legacy wireless networks. 5G networks provide ultra-low latency which is essential for applications requiring real-time responsiveness. 5G ensures minimal delay thereby supporting maximum production efficiency. It also supports a significantly higher density of connected devices per square kilometer compared to Wi-Fi. 5G connect is the solution for connecting your wireless tools and securing your process control and quality assurance via a strong, reliable, and secured data collection.

Liabilities and Warnings
Liability
Many events in the operating environment may affect the tightening process and shall require a validation of results. In compliance with applicable standards and/or regulations, we hereby require you to check the installed torque and rotational direction after any event that can influence the tightening result. Examples of such events include but are not limited to:
initial installation of the tooling system
change of part batch, bolt, screw batch, tool, software, configuration or environment
change of air- or electrical connections
change in line ergonomics, process, quality procedures or practices
changing of operator
any other change that influences the result of the tightening process
The check should:
Ensure that the joint conditions have not changed due to events of influence.
Be done after initial installation, maintenance or repair of the equipment.
Occur at least once per shift or at another suitable frequency.
Safety Signal Words
The safety signal words Danger, Warning, Caution, and Notice have the following meanings:
DANGER | DANGER indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury. |
WARNING | WARNING indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury. |
CAUTION | CAUTION, used with the safety alert symbol, indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in minor or moderate injury. |

Configuration
In this section, you can find detailed information about how to create, modify, and verify product settings.
Prerequisites
Before configuring the 5G Connect accessory, the following prerequisites must be checked:
IxB firmware updated to 3.11.2 or higher
5G SIM card inserted in the SIM card slot
It is recommended to save the calibration value and service interval before upgrading.
Configuration in Web HMI
After checking the prerequisites, follow these steps to configure the 5G Connect accessory in the Web HMI:
In the Home screen, go to the Settings page of the tool.
In the Network tab, scroll to the Cellular Network section and press Edit.
Switch ON the Cellular Network by using the Enabled toggle.
In the APN field, enter the access point name for the 5G network.

5G Diagnostics
This page describes the real-time view for 5G network signal entities. Information from the following signal entities is displayed:
Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP)
Reference Signal Received Quality (RSRQ)
Receive Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI)
Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR)
Transmitter Power (TX)
This diagnostic selection is only available when 5G is in the Connected state.
Start a Diagnostic Session
Go to Integrated Controller Tool in the Home menu and select Tool on the left pane.
Select 5G Diagnostics in Diagnostics.
Select the ellipsis (...) to choose the preferred 5G network signal entity to be monitored.
The graph starts plotting new values every second for the selected 5G network signal entity. Simultaneously, all signal entities will be populated in Radio Quality.
