Safety Signal Words

The safety signal words Danger, Warning, Caution, and Notice have the following meanings:

DANGER

DANGER indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.

WARNING

WARNING indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.

CAUTION

CAUTION, used with the safety alert symbol, indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in minor or moderate injury.

NOTICE

NOTICE is used to address practices not related to personal injury.

Warranty

  • Product warranty will expire in 12+1 months after dispatch from Atlas Copco's Distribution Center.

  • Normal wear and tear on parts is not included within the warranty.

    • Normal wear and tear is that which requires a part change or other adjustment/overhaul during standard tool maintenance typical for that period (expressed in time, operation hours or otherwise).

  • The product warranty relies on the correct use, maintenance, and repair of the tool and its component parts.

  • Damage to parts that occurs as a result of inadequate maintenance or performed by parties other than Atlas Copco or their Certified Service Partners during the warranty period is not covered by the warranty.

  • To avoid damage or destruction of tool parts, service the tool according to the recommended maintenance schedules and follow the correct instructions.

  • Warranty repairs are performed only in Atlas Copco workshops or by Certified Service Partners.

Atlas Copco offers extended warranty and state-of-the-art preventive maintenance through its ToolCover contracts. For further information, contact your local Service representative.

For electrical motors:

  • Warranty will apply, only when the electric motor has not been opened.

Operation

Operating Instructions

Operating the Multi Charger

The mains voltage must match the voltage stated on the type plate of the charger.

  1. Connect the charger to the mains power.

    The charger conducts a self-test. Both LEDs glow for one second. The charger then enters standby mode. The red LED turns off, and the green LED starts to flash at 5-second intervals.

  2. Slide the battery on the battery holder of the charger. Charging starts automatically and the green LED flashes. The charging time depends on the battery's charge level, capacity, and temperature.

    When the battery is fully charged, the green LED glows. The charger automatically switches to retention charging.

New batteries reach their full capacity after approximately five charging/discharging cycles. Recharge batteries if they have not been used for a long time. The performance of the battery reduces when temperature falls below –10°C. Storing a battery for a long time at temperatures above 40°C can reduce the capacity.

Sleep Mode

If a battery is completely drained, it will go into sleep mode.

Wake up the battery by doing the following:

  1. Insert the battery in the charger.

    The charger will automatically detect that the battery is in sleep mode. The red and green LEDs of the charger start to flash, indicating that wake-up mode is activated.

  2. When the charger stops flashing, remove and reattach the battery immediately.

    The charger will resume with the regular charging procedure.

Make sure that the battery is placed correctly on the battery holder.

Red

Flashing at 1-second intervals.

The battery is defective.

  • Refer to the Product Instruction of the battery for more details on battery LED indicators.

  • If a solution cannot be found in the Product Instruction of the battery, please contact your local Atlas Copco Customer Center for assistance.

Green

Flashing at 5-second intervals.

The battery is fully charged and has automatically shut off as a safety measure.*

The battery can be used as normal.

Green

Flashing at 5-second intervals.

An error has occurred and the battery has been shut off.

  • Press the release button to start the battery again.

  • If the error occurs again, please refer to the Product Instruction of the battery for more details on battery LED indicators.

  • If a solution cannot be found in the Product Instruction of the battery, please contact your local Atlas Copco Customer Center for assistance.

* This battery behavior was introduced in battery software version 1.6.14.

Recycling

Environmental Regulations

When a product has served its purpose it has to be recycled properly. Dismantle the product and recycle the components in accordance with local legislation.

Batteries shall be taken care of by your national battery recovery organization.
